Women Take Notice of High Cholesterol

Me and my wife were at a free health screening last month,

and decided to get our cholesterol checked. A simple prick,

a drop of blood,and your done. Well that's where it all starts,

and the results could be shocking for women.

Turns out my wife's cholesterol score came back higher than mine,

and we would have never suspected that. Women historically seem

to go to the doctor more often than men, because men have this

bullet proof image to uphold.lol.

Well, turns out women do make it to their OB-GYN,and get their PAP,

and maybe a breast exam. However, the care they receive isn't as targeted

when it comes to preventing and treating cardiovascular disease.

Ladies, make sure your doctor is willing to check your heart health

as well, especially if you or your family has a history of heart disease

or diabetes. Get just one more blood test done while you are already

at your doctor, it just might save your life. Now I am no doctor,and you

should consult yours for a cholesterol screening.
